Sue Ann Wolfendale, 69 of New Cumberland passed away at her home on Friday, May 12, 2017 from natural causes.

A daughter of the late William H. Wolfendale Jr and Margaret E. Holand Wolfendale, she was born in Pittsburgh on August 12, 1948.

Sue loved animals and for 50 years she worked as a horse and dog trainer. She was a very familiar face at Mountaineer Race Track where she applied her trade.

She graduated from Mars High School in Mars, Pennsylvania and she was a member of the Frenzied Flyers Flyball Team.

In addition to her parents, one brother, Fred Wolfendale preceded her in death.

Her surviving family members are her brothers, William H. Wolfendale III, Howard E. Wolfendale and Ross B. Wolfendale; Nieces, Margaret Morley and Megan Wolfendale; nephews, William and Scott Wolfendale; and a great niece, Grace Morley.

A memorial service to celebrate Sue Ann’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. on the turn at Mountaineer Race Track.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter.
