Norma Gene Lawton passed away quietly on 13 February 2017 at 10:05pm in Weirton Medical Center.  A longtime resident of Chester, WV she was a loving Mother to 7 Children, 22 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren.  She loved her activities with the West Virginia Community Education Outreach Service Club and her church First Baptist Church of Chester.  She was an amazing artist and loved painting ceramics and sewing.

She was born the daughter of Harry and Willie Marie Jayne on 8 December 1941, in Denver, Colorado.  She married Thomas James Lawton on 30 August 1958 in Aurora, Colorado.  She is survived by her husband, Thomas James Lawton of Chester, WV, and her children Kenneth and Virginia Marie Lawrence of East Liverpool, OH, James and Suzanne Lawton of Chester, WV, Eric and Darline Lorraine Turner of Rincon, GA, Harvey and Lori Ann Schmidt of Chester, WV, Tyson and Terry Lynn Siewiyumptewa of Hanover, CO, Anthony and Bobbi Jean McCoy of Guyton, GA, Jaynine Ann Davis of Andrews, IN, Fred Alan Lawton of Chester, WV and many other adopted children and grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Willie Marie Jayne, and her siblings, Cathy Good, Carol Black and William H Jayne. 

A memorial service will be held on 25 February 2017 at 2 Pm at the First Baptist Church, 75 Willis Way, Chester WV with a dinner following.
