James K. “Jimi” Shingler of New Cumberland passed away at his home on Friday, May 12, 2017.

He was a son of the late Daniel and Sharon Shingler. 53 years old he was born in East Liverpool on February 5, 1964.

A carpenter by trade, Jimi had worked for local contractor, George McIntosh for several years and he was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 121 in Chester.

In addition to his parents, one brother, Robert R. “Bob’ Shingler preceded him in death.

Jimi leaves his loving wife, Pamela McDougle Shingler at home; brother and sisters in law, Bradley McDougle, Deborah (Joseph) Huska, Kimberly (Ben) Locke and Jolene (Steve) Orgovan; his lifelong friend and brother, Derrick Malone; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jimi’s family will receive friends at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
