Willis Lee Beckham, 90, of Bowling Green, FL passed, Saturday, October 22, 2022, at his summer residence in Weirton, WV.
Born, June 8, 1932, in Savannah, TN, he was the son of the late Walker D. and Ruby W. Chambers Beckham.
Willis was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Violet Virginia Romesburg Beckham; brother, Eugene “Gene” Beckham, and sisters, Betty Long and Fern McClure. He was also preceded in death by many beloved in-laws.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving as an Aircraft Mechanic. Willis (Lee) was a dedicated truck driver for many years, loved RVing, fishing, cooking out, boating, and spending time joking and telling stories with his family and friends.
Willis will be deeply missed by his daughter, Kimberly Furrow and her husband, William of Bowling Green, FL.; son, Robert H. Jordan of Missouri; grandchildren, Robert Jordan (Lorrie), Kathy Jordan, Karen Shaffer (Les), and Mattie Furrow; 5 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and numerous "favorite" nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes, following cremation, a family memorial service may be held at a later date. A toast in his honor was held at 7 p.m. Sunday, October 23 in many homes around the country.
