William “Bill” Miller, 72, retired East Liverpool firefighter, passed, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at East Liverpool City Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born, November 24, 1949, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late William and Ruth Morgan Miller.
He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1968. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
He was most recently employed at OS Hill and Co. but he worked many years for Kenny Delposen Calcutta Towing as a heavy wrecker driver. Bill was dedicated to his community serving many years as a firefighter for the City of East Liverpool and volunteering at Spring Grove Cemetery. Bill was a member of the International Association of Firefighters Local #24. He loved his family with his entire heart and soul, but his pride and joy were his grandchildren. Bill was always there to lend a helping hand and/or necessary ear. His infectious laugh, smile, and corny “dad jokes” will be forever etched in the memories of his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Linda Buchheit Miller; son, Thomas Miller of East Liverpool; William Miller of St. Petersburg, FL., David Miller of Weirton and Todd McGaffic of Cocoa Beach, FL.; daughter, Kimberly Potts of East Liverpool and sister, Tammy of Florida. He will also be missed by his 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren
Pastor Larry Rose will celebrate his life, Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Arner Funeral Chapel, at 7:00 PM. Friends may visit with his family 4 hours prior to his service, from 3:00 PM-7:00 PM.
