William "Bill" Amos Obituary

Weirton, WV.

William A. “Bill” Amos, 66 of Weirton passed at the Weirton Medical Center on Friday, January 22. 2021, following a brief illness.

Bill was born in Weirton on March 18, 1954, to the late Robert F. and Bernice Leah Jackson Amos.

Bill’s life was defined by his family, wonderful memories left to cherish by his life partner, Sheila, children, Michael Scarsella and wife Cody of Warrenton, VA., Eric Scarsella and wife Brooke of Centerville, VA., and Nikki Wyatt and husband Bob of Weirton, and probably the most important things in his life, the grandchildren, Ezra, Christian, Asher, Colton, Charlotte, Mia, and Luke Scarsella, and Sophia, and Lynleigh Wyatt. These are the things that will be missed the most. His siblings are Bob Amos and wife Martha “Skip” of Weirton, and Bonnie Ware and husband Randy of Wintersville. His sister Janice Thomas and husband Chuck, along with his parents passed earlier. There are also several nieces and nephews who's memory of Bill will never fade.

A certified welder, Bill retired from Weirton Steel in 2006 as an NDE inspector. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25-year club. A 1972 graduate of Brooke High School, Bill was a Harley man, he rode often and loved it, and he was a member of ABATE.

Although this is a huge loss, Bill’s memory will live on in all of those who knew him. A memorial service will be held later in the year and will be announced then. Bill’s care has been entrusted to the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
