William Brooks Obituary

William R. Brooks, 78 of Weirton passed at his home, while in the loving care of his wife Betty, on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, after being diagnosed with cancer two years ago.

Born in Pittsburgh on April 30, 1943, he was the son of the late James F. and Anna Locke Brooks.

Bill retired from the City of Weirton Street Department, and he was a Catholic by faith.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas J. Brooks.

Bill leaves his wife, Betty Leasure Brooks at home, his children, William J. Brooks of Pennsylvania, Thomas J. (Andrea) Brooks of Weirton, Sandra (Harry) Brooks-Campbell of Pennsylvania, and Teresa Owen of Weirton, his brother, James M. Brooks of Massachusetts, his grandchildren, Brittnie, Lance, Tesla, Ashley, Zack, Emma, and Taylor Brooks, Allina, and Caleb Owen, and Harry E. Campbell, and a great-granddaughter, Sophia Brooks.

Bill’s family is planning a private memorial service at his home. Assistance is being provided by the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
