Vernon McDade, 83, of Chester, passed away, Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Mercy Health-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown after a brief illness.
Born, December 29, 1936, in Millwood, WV., he was a son of the late Kenneth and Josephine Flesher McDade.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Gerald McDade.
Vernon was a 1955 Chester High graduate and a member of the Chester First United Methodist Church. He possessed a keen eye for beautiful art and antiques, a sense that led him to attend and graduate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and he later retired from M & M Vending in East Liverpool.
A close-knit family, Vernon is survived by his sisters, Virginia Logue and Rita Brant of Chester as well as several nieces and nephews.
His nephew, George Cunningham will celebrate Vernon’s life Friday, January 31, at 1:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Entombment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. Friends may visit with his family two hours prior to the services from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.
