Valene L. Severs

Valene L. Severs, 66, of East Liverpool, passed unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at her home.

Born, November 24, 1954, in Navarre, OH., she was a daughter of the late Richard T. Birkhimer and Ruth “Ibby” McKinney Parsons. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Thomas, and by her companion, Jeff Smyers.

Val found great joy in listening to music and she loved spending time with her family. She could fix anything and was known as “Moosie Maintenance”. She was strong-willed and no matter how bad she felt she kept on pushing.

Val will be deeply missed by her children, Richard Severs Jr. of Rogers, OH. and Jamie Severs of Negley; daughter, Casey Thomas of East Liverpool; siblings, Richard Birkhimer Sr. of Toronto, James Birkhimer Bethel Island, CA., Ronald Birkhimer and his wife Debbie Zubay of East Liverpool, Sarena Birkhimer Wells and her companion Bill Renfro of New Cumberland, Saralee Presutti and her husband Nick of Midland and Dale Birkhimer and his wife, Bunny Paradovich-Birkhimer of Weirton. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Zachary, Alyssa and Brennen Tice, Kylie, Brenden and Mariah Severs and by many nieces and nephews.

We will celebrate Val’s life Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Arner Funeral Chapel, at 8:00PM. Friends may visit with the family 2 hours prior to the service from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
