Trena L. Lewis

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Trena L. Lewis of East Liverpool passed away from the devastating effects of COPD at her home on Saturday, April 22, 2023. She was being tenderly cared for by her husband and daughter.

Trena was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen Mercer, and she was born in East Liverpool on September 25, 1946. She was 76 years old.

She was a Presbyterian by faith and she worked as a Cosmetologist for several years. Trena was a 1965 graduate of Wellsville High School, and she was very active in the East Liverpool Moose Lodge with her husband, Bob.

In addition to her parents, her brother, Joe Mercer, and sisters, Faye Nicholson, and Barbara Miracle preceded her in death.

Saddened by her loss is her husband of 37 years, Robert Lewis. They were married on February 8, 1986. Her daughter, Michelle Sprinkle of Circleville, OH, and her son, Edward L. Russell of Virginia Beach also survive as do her grandchildren, Jocelyn Stout, Amanda Stout, Megan Riggins, Cearra Russell, and Everleigh Russell, and four great-granddaughters, Alexis Geer, Adalyn Geer, Hayden Petro, and Harper Pugh. She also leaves her brother, Dale Mercer of Wellsville, and her sister, Terry Manley of Scottsdale, AZ.

Trena’s family will receive friends at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Tuesday, April 25, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
