East Liverpool,
Thomas D. Gray, 66, of East Liverpool, passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, Monday, May 2, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born, November 13, 1955, in Aliquippa, he was the son of the late Thomas and Betty Baker Gray.
Tom was also preceded in death by his brother, James Gray.
He was a graduate of Aliquippa High School Class of 1974. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served as an Honor Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington, Virginia. Tom retired from Bruce Mansfield Plant in Shippingport, where he was the Control Room Operator.
In his younger days he enjoyed skiing, riding motorcycles and boating. Tom especially enjoyed traveling and he was an avid marksman and gun collector.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Valerie F. Diley Gray; son, Thomas Gray and his wife Ursulina of Martinez, CA.; daughter, Jennifer Gray of East Palestine; grandchildren, Tomas and Luna Ramirez Gray; sister, Janet Lord of Aliquippa; many nieces and nephews; step children, Brad Mcnear of Calcutta (Ashley), Tommy McNear of Lake Tomahawk (Megan) and Jessie McNear of Chippewa and step grandchildren, Sydney, Brady, Logan, Kira and Ava McNear.
Pastor Scott Branderhorst will celebrate Tom’s life, Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Arner Funeral Chapel, at 5:00PM. Friends may visit with his family, Thursday from 2:00PM-5:00PM. Private inurnment will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
