Sarah Marie Pasco-Kunkel left this world peacefully in her sleep on October 5th, 2023 at the age of 41 in Calcutta, Ohio. She was born to David and Debbie Pasco on June 15th, 1982 at Salem Hospital.
Sarah completed a triple-major undergraduate degree at Case Western Reserve University in May 2004 and went on to earn her Master’s in Forensic Science from Marshall University. During that time, Sarah’s passion for working with children with Autism fueled her desire to obtain her second Master’s degree, in Psychology, from Marshall University. After working for several years at the Autism Training Center at Marshall University, Sarah decided to pursue her PhD in Psychology. Her PhD was earned from Marshall University in 2022.
Sarah was best known as an avid animal lover and advocate. She fostered numerous dogs over the years and helped them to find the most loving ‘furever’ homes. She also participated in and donated to organizations that focused on the love and protection of animals. She was a devoted dog mom who went above and beyond for her pups, Rocky and Grace.
In death, Sarah is reunited with her late father, David Pasco, her maternal grandmother, Nellie Sevek-Lockhart, and the love of her life, her dog Rocky. Also preceded in death by John McKenzie (uncle) as well as Anne and Bob Pasco (paternal grandparents).
