Russell C. Mann, 85, formerly of Eastern North Carolina, went to be his Lord and Savior, Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Valley Hospice in Steubenville.
Born, November 29, 1935, in St. Cloud, FL., he was the son of the late Henry and Nona Sharpe Mann.
Russell was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Annette Posey Mann, and by his brother and 3 sisters.
Russell dedicated his life to the Lord and always made sure to share his faith with every single person he met. For many years, he served as a minister throughout Eastern North Carolina but recently retired from Oak Grove Church of Christ. He also served as the Chaplin of the Smyrna, GA. Police Department. Russell was a member of the Ruritan Club in Belhaven, NC.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and was never short on jokes to share. He was wise beyond belief. Russell
was devoted to his family and enjoyed every moment that he spent with them.
He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Nona Maysey of New Cumberland, WV, and Nannette Phillips and her husband Scott of Ararat, VA.; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
