Ronald C. Souchak, 68, of Chester, passed away, following a brief illness, Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Weirton.
Born, April 18, 1951, in Steubenville, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary Zuza Souchak.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Patty Puzzuole; brother, Michael Souchak and son, Michael Paul Cohan.
Ron was a 1969 graduate of Follansbee High School and he was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. Ron retired from Weirton Steel after 32 years of service. After retirement, he worked at Mountaineer Racetrack and Casino as a security supervisor until later retiring completely.
He was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan and he enjoyed, gardening, working outside, golfing, and walking with his k-9 companion, Casey at all local parks.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Darlene Baker Souchak; daughter, Clarissa Cohan of Chester; sister, Karen Kinney and her husband Rick of Baltimore, MD.; grandchildren, Devon “Nikki” Temple, Sidney Blankenship of Chester, Brendan and Brett Cohan of Whitehall, PA.
Per Ron’s wishes, no services are planned at this time and the Arner Funeral Chapel was entrusted with making these arrangements.
