Richard Smith II Obituary

At Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, on Friday, August 28, 2020, Richard W. “Ricky” Smith II of East Liverpool succumbed to the devastating consequences of bladder cancer. Ricky had been dealing with the lifelong effects of congenital health issues as well. Despite all of this, Ricky always maintained an upbeat, positive view of life.

22 years old, he was born in Fresno, CA., on May 19, 1998, a son of Richard W. Smith I and his companion Kay Giralico, of East Liverpool, and the late Beth Ann Chambers Smith.

A Christian, he was currently working as a truck puller at Hall China in East Liverpool. Ricky was an excellent gamer; dude could kick some serious gamer butt. His favorite past times were fishing and camping with family and friends, memories that will last a lifetime.

Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Lee Smith.

In addition to his dad, Richard and his companion Kay, Ricky will be deeply missed by his sisters, Emily (Ryan) Pruitt of East Liverpool, Elizabeth (Paul) Ward of Wellsville, and Erin Smith of Rogers.

Pastor George White will celebrate Ricky’s life at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Tuesday, September 1, at 7:00 p.m. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 until the time of the service at 7:00.
