Pauline T. Freshette Stillwagon Silsley, 84, of New Cumberland, passed, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Pepperberry Suites in Chester.
Born, October 16, 1938, in Springfield, MS., she was the daughter of the late George and Corrine Gallant Freshette.
Pauline was a graduate of Cathedral High School Class of 1957. She formerly worked as an Administrative Assistant at Geo Mega Incorporate.
Pauline was a devout Catholic who led by example. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pauline was the past president of the Ladies Guild.
She was a member of the Hookstown American Legion. Pauline enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading mysteries.
She will be deeply missed by her nephew, Edward Silsley and his wife, Roberta; great nieces and nephews, Edward, Donna, Daniel and Becky; brothers, George Frechette and his wife, Betty Ann of Granby, MA. and Robert Frechette and his wife, Joyce of South Hadley, MA.; sister, Anne Ruelle of Florida; 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren and stepson, Donald Silsley and his wife, Kathleen of Hanover Township. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her first husband, Duaine Silsley; second husband, Thomas K. Stillwagon; sister, Jeanne Frappier and brother, George Frechette.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Father William Metheny will preside. Interment will follow at Millcreek Hill Cemetery in Hookstown. Visitation will be held Monday, May 29, 2023, at Arner Funeral Chapel, from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:30 PM.
