Nancy E. Woods

Nancy E. Woods, 78, of Chester, passed, Saturday, September 24, 2021, at Weirton Geriatric.

Born, December 22, 1942, in East Liverpool, she was the daughter of the late Layman and Grace Burch Rice.

Nancy was a graduate of Wells High Class of 1960. She dedicated many years working as the Assistant City Clerk in Chester.

Nancy was a member of Chester First Christian Church. She taught all of those she touched about faith, family, humility, serving others, laughter, and enjoying life! She was wise, brave, humble, and meek and will forever be cherished by her family.

Nancy will be deeply missed by her husband, Gerald Jackson Woods; daughters, Wendi Ramsey, and husband Rick of Richmond, OH. and Cendi Recinella and her husband Jeff of Mingo, OH.; brothers, Layman Rice Jr. of Chester, Terri Rice, and his wife Janet of Chester; grandchildren, Jessica Ramsey, Emily Cain (Taylor), Lauren Recinella and Cole Recinella and a special friend that was like a daughter to Nancy, Pam Stivason.  

Dave Willey will celebrate Nancy’s life, Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Arner Funeral Chapel, at 1:00 PM. Friends may visit with her family 2 hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. Private interment will be held at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
