Milton J. Potts, 82, better known as “Bunk” to his lifelong home community of Hookstown, PA, gained his angel wings on March 22, 2021, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Bunk was born on March 29, 1938, in Hookstown, PA, to the late Howard and Wilda Potts. Bunk was married to the love of his life, Claire Potts, on December 1, 1956. He was an active member of the community, where he owned Potts Drilling and drove school bus for South Side Garage. Bunk also raised his family and managed a farm in Hookstown. His greatest joy was being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an animal lover and you would often find him in local parades driving his horse and buggy.
Bunk is preceded in death by his brothers, Homer and Jack Potts; his oldest daughter, LouAnne Dripps; and several beloved pets. Bunk will be deeply missed by his family. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 64 years, Claire Potts, his children, Barb Boyd, Nancy (Rich) Mineard, and Jim (Karen) Potts. Other loved ones left behind are his grandchildren Kristina Crooks, Cory (Christina) Boyd, Serena Pinkerton, Ian (Shelby) Dripps, Jim and Jason Potts, Amber Mineard, and Brittany (Greg) Wargo. Also, surviving are numerous great-grandchildren and other loved ones.
No funeral services will be held by request; however, a Celebration of Life service will be held on April 17, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Mount Pleasant Church located at 846 State Route 18, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
