Mary Huffman Obituary

Mary Charlene Huffman, 65, of Salem, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020, at her home.

She was born on October 7, 1955, to the late Roy and Ollie Mae Burson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Roy Huffman whom she wed on August 14, 1993. Following her husband’s death on January 7, 2018, she spoke of him often and with fondness, grateful for their mutual faith and their shared hope in Jesus.

Mary was an active member of Damascus Friends Church where she greatly valued her brothers and sisters in Christ. She had a bold faith and took every opportunity to tell others about her love for Jesus.

Mary will be remembered for her extravagant thoughtfulness and kindness. Her warm personality was evident to all and she never met a stranger. She put her family first and loved them fiercely.

She was the proud owner of her dog Mitchell, whom she provided a great home and a charmed life. Also preceded in death by her fur babies; Oscar, Tiny Tot, and Miss Kitty.

She is survived by one brother, Roy Burson, and his wife Mel of Grove City, and two sisters, Cheryl Beckner, and brother-in-law Mark Beckner and Kathryn Oliver and her husband Bill, all of East Liverpool.

She is also survived by her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly: Jennifer and Terry Fellows, Christin and Chuck Lucas, Tommy Pease, Markie and Jennifer Beckner, Allison Beckner and Rachel Pease and her partner Joe Ortiz, Courtney and Travis Burson.

Her great-nieces and nephews also survive: Cohen and Taylor Pease, Kennedi Lucas and Charley Lucas, Alanna Jackson and Cameron Beckner.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
