Obituary
Marlene M. George, 85, of Weirton, passed, Monday, August 7, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center.
Born, July 27, 1938, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Pearl Sorrell Ford.
Marlene was a graduate of Lorreto Academy. She continued her education at St. Joseph Hospital receiving her degree in Nursing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald T. George, and by her daughter, Rhonda Anne George.
Marlene will be missed by her daughters, Janice Sawicki of Weirton and Susan George of Saxonburg, PA.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hines (Chad) of Weirton, Lauren Sawicki of Orlando, FL., and Matthew Sawicki of Washington, PA. and great grandson Maverick Hines. She wanted to be remembered as loving her family very, very much; loved helping others; and that she always did the best that she could in all situations.
Per Marlene’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. She is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
