Loar "Jim" Quickle Obituary

Loar “Jim” Quickle, 85, of Weirton, passed away, Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville.

Born, August 5, 1934, in Lumberport, WV., he was the son of the late Sam and Madge Brown Rees.

He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Quickle and his sister, Yvonne Capasso.

Jim was a 1952 graduate of Weir High School and a proud United States Army Veteran. He retired from Weirton Steel, where he worked for 40 years as a General Foreman.

Jim will be missed by his sons, James (Robin) Quickle , Jeffrey (Kathy) Quickle , daughter, Diane (Joseph) Matics. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Paige (Paul III) Duffy, Danielle Quickle, Jeffrey Quickle, Joseph Matics, Kylie Matics, Laken Quickle, Taylor Quickle and Devin (Lindsey) Zeigler and Trever Zeigler and his great-grandchildren, Paul Thomas Duffy IV, Pate James Duffy and Luna Mae Matics, all of Weirton.

Per Jim’s wishes, no services are planned and his arrangements were entrusted by the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
