East Liverpool, OH.
Linda R. Kirk, 80 of East Liverpool passed away at the East Liverpool Hospital on Thursday, October 10, 2019, following a brief illness.
A daughter of the late Edwin H. and Alberta Powell Orr, Linda was born on September 5, 1939, in East Liverpool.
A lifelong resident of East Liverpool, she taught the third grade at East Elementary before owning and operating the Best Little Book House in Calcutta. Linda was a graduate of East Liverpool High School and received her teaching degree from Kent State University in 1972. Anyone who knew Linda could appreciate her quick wit and contagious sense of humor. Her life was occupied with time spent with family, which often involved cooking and music, two of her favorite pastimes, as was traveling as much as possible.
Passing before her, in addition to her parents, was her husband, Charles Kirk, and her sisters, Mariam Orr, and Constance Keller.
She leaves two lovely daughters, Alicia Young and her husband Kevin of Chester, and Sheri Williams of East Liverpool. She will be deeply missed by her two close grandchildren, Troy Tennant and his fiancée, Mindy Hunkele, and Cole Williams. Also surviving are her sister, Nadine Wright of East Liverpool, and two brothers, Samuel Orr of Salem, and Eddie Orr of East Liverpool.
Private services are being planned by the family. Her care has been entrusted to the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
