Joseph F. Parsons, 74 of East Liverpool, passed at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville on Monday, March 21, 2022, following a brief illness.
Joe was born in Cleveland Ohio on September 22, 1947. He was the son of the late Susan Parsons.
He retired from the Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services as an eligibility referral specialist and earlier had been employed at the former Crucible Steel until its closing. Joe had attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church in East Liverpool, and he graduated from East Liverpool High School and the Ohio Valley Business College. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam conflict as a Flight Operations Specialist. Joe was a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan and loved collecting books, movies, and music.
Along with his mother, his wife, Carol Parsons preceded him in death.
He leaves his loving family, his daughters, Michelle Lane and her husband Barry of Wellsville, and Melissa Cannon and her husband Mike of East Liverpool; his grandchildren, Lexus and Lindsay Ammon, Karlee Cannon, and Olivia Mitchell, his step-grandchildren, Cameron, Mackenzie, and Brady Lane, and one great-grandchild, Brantley.
Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well Church in Wellsville will conduct services at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Thursday, March 24, at 6:00 p.m. Friends are invited to visit with the family two hours prior to the service, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Private interment will be at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
