Jonathan "Johnny" G. Brown

Jonathan “Johnny” G. Brown, 72, of Paso Robles, CA., and formerly of Newell, joined his parents and siblings in heaven, Monday, June 3, 2019. He passed peacefully at the Mydor Guest Home in Santa Maria, CA.

Born, February 24, 1947, at his home in Newell, he was a son of the late Jonathan and Lula Coplin Brown.

Johnny was also preceded in death by his siblings, Richard “Brownie” Brown, Carol Jean Wern, Brooks H., Robert A., and James M. Brown.

He worked at the Hancock County Sheltered Workshop in Weirton until he moved to California with his sister, Carol. Johnny was a special person, with twinkling green eyes and a smile for everyone. He loved polka music and dancing.  Johnny had a way of remembering significant dates, you could always count on him to remember your birthday and anniversary. His love and joy inspired us to try to make the world a better place.

Johnny is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and he will be deeply missed by all. He was much loved and treasured by his caregivers and his family is especially grateful for their tender care and love that he received.

Pastor Vel Vaise will celebrate Johnny’s life, Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 11:00 AM, in the chapel at Columbiana County Memorial Park. Interment will follow. His arrangements are in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
