Obituary

John A. McGonigal Jr., 65, of Lisbon, passed at Cleveland Clinic Hospice in Akron on Monday, July 17, 2023.

Born in East Liverpool on March 9, 1958, he was the son of the late John A. McGonigal Sr. and Dorothy L. Fleming Neuch.

John was also preceded in death by his daughter, Heidi Louise McGonigal.

A kindhearted man that would help anyone in need. He always believed in getting the job done. John enjoyed cutting his grass and riding his bike.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Johanna Williamson McGonigal; daughters, Deborah A. Reynolds of East Liverpool and Starlynn McGonigal of West Virginia; brother, James McGonigal (Kathy) of Pekin, IL.; sisters, Kathleen “Kitty” Ward of East Liverpool and Teresa “Angel” Wright of Wellsville and 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Per John’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. He is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
