Jodye R. Hornbeck, lifetime resident of East Liverpool, passed away in the emergency room of East Liverpool City Hospital on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, following a lengthy illness.
59 years old, Jodye was born in East Liverpool on April 25, 1962. She was the daughter of the late Philip Monac and Louella Claypool Baker.
A Christian by faith, Jodye was a loving homemaker, raising her children, and caring for her grandchildren, who were the love of her life. She was a 1980 graduate of East Liverpool High School, and she loved gardening and sewing.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pattye Barnes-Holden.
Saddened by her loss are her children, Janna Jo Hall of East Liverpool, Michael Hall of East Liverpool, Delano Drumm II of East Liverpool, Tabetha Eckleberry of Chester, and Jessica and Toby Hornbeck of East Liverpool. Also, she leaves three sisters, Janna Wilkinson of Dunedin, FL., Angel Monac and Penny (Tom) Schmidbauer of East Liverpool, and her grandchildren, Jacob and Kristopher McIntosh, Cody and Delano Drumm III, Ally Drumm, Kaleb Eckleberry, Shawn Gamble, Kristopher Hornbeck, Alica Lowe, Austin Hornbeck, Ashley, Andrea, and Allison Joy, and Billy and Addison Barker.
Jodye’s family is planning a private memorial service. The Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester is assisting the family with these arrangements
