James C. “Taz” Trojak, 79 of Chester passed away at the Stone Pear Pavilion in Chester on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, following a brief battle with cancer.
A son of the late Clyde and Mary Ann Trojak Manross, he was born on February 20, 1939, in Erie, PA.
Jim was a retired electrician, working out of Union Local 712 in Beaver, Pennsylvania with 31 years of service. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester, where he was the lead usher at 11:00 a.m. mass for several years. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Germany from 1960 to 1963. He was a member and former Chaplin of American Legion Post 114 in Newell, and he was a lifetime member of VFW Post 6450 in Chester. Jim graduated from Union City High school in Union City, PA., and attended Edinboro University for one year before serving four years of electrical apprentice-ship school.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his former companion, Debbie Anderson, his grandmother whom he was raised by, Katie Trojak, His sister, Patsy Trojak, his uncle and guardian, Richard Trojak, and close friend, Father Doc Savage.
Surviving is one brother, Clyde Trojak of Virginia, and one sister, Tillie Wilcox of Watesburg, PA.
Father Raju Antony will preside for memorial Catholic Funeral Liturgy at the Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, July 5 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
