James Sprout

James V. Sprout, 43, of East Liverpool, passed Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

Born, December 29, 1978, in Yuma, AZ., he was the son of Patricia Hawkins Lawrence and the late Anthony Sprout.

Jim was also preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Wanda Kay Donahue; maternal grandfather, James Lawrence; Uncles, Rob Kane, Donnie Wasson and Randall Kane.

He attended East Liverpool High School. Jim met his soulmate, Misty Kirbaugh, and he proposed to Misty on her graduation day, and they later married on April 21, 2007.

Jim had a special love for animals, spending many years volunteering with exotic animals at Tiger World and Suzie’s Pride. He had a great sense of humor, and you could always depend on him to lend a helping hand. Jim enjoyed being outdoors, working on cars, basketball, spending time with his family and cooking delicious food.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Misty Kirbaugh; brothers, Ryan Burns of Youngstown and Gerald Barksdale of TX., sister, Mary Elizabeth Barksdale of Baytown, TX., friends, Bryan Doss and his wife, Sara; Uncle Robert Donahue; Aunt Robin Heffner; cousin, Jake Bates and numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held, Friday, June 3, 2022, at 7:00PM, at Tomlinson Run State Park in the pavilion located beside the swimming pool.
