Jackie Dunlap Obituary

Jackie Kay Dunlap, 56 of Veterans Blvd., New Cumberland passed at her home while in the loving care of her family on Saturday, July 18, 2020, after being diagnosed with cancer in April of this year.

Jackie was born on December 7, 1963, in Alexandria, VA. Raised by her adoptive parents, Billie James Tennant of Fairview, WV., and the late Thelma Jean Statler Tennant, she was the biological daughter of the late Jack E. and Joyce Ann Statler.

A loving homemaker, Jackie’s greatest joy in life was caring for her children and husband. Jackie was a passionate animal lover, she adored her fur babies and feeding the birds around her home. She possessed an artistic sense and loved to draw, and she graduated from the Gilbert, Smith, and Silverthorne School of Cosmetology in East Liverpool.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Ronald P. Dunlap, at home, her daughter, Melissa (Billy) Cornell of Theresa, WI., her son, Ronald D. Dunlap of New Cumberland, her grandchildren, Evan and Caleb Logston of Chester, and Emma Cornell of Theresa, WI., and her fur babies, Geigieo, Poe, Bella, and her deceased fur baby, Baby. Also, surviving are her siblings, Martin Matthew Moody of Chester, James D. (Rhonda) Tennant of Fairview, WV., Donald Allman of Raphine VA., Eddie Thornton of Staunton, VA., Jack E. Statler Jr. of Stuarts Draft, VA., Judith (Larry) Cox of Fairview, WV., Deborah (Robert) Stahl of Mannington, WV., Nancy Statler of Crimora, VA., Connie Pannell of Waynesboro, VA., Karen Massey of Waynesboro, VA., and Judy Ann Supharsiri of Springfield, VA., and her very dear friend, Jeanne Norton of New Cumberland. Several nieces, and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews survive as well.

Also preceding her in death were her brothers, John Glenn Moody, Alex Statler, and Wesley Allman.

Her family is extremely grateful for Valley Hospice and would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the compassionate and loving care offered to their loved one.

A family gathering to celebrate Jackie’s life is being planned for a later date, and her services have entrusted to the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
