Hudson Richard Thompson, 23, of Negley, died suddenly, June 16, 2019, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Born, September 18, 1995, in East Liverpool, he was a son of Marybeth Kozel Lewis and Stewart Lee Thompson (Peggy Mitchell).
Hudson attended Beaver Local High School until his freshman year. In 2014 Hudson completed the welding program at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center and graduated from Lisbon High School. Hudson adored Mr. Hughes from CCCTC, he appreciated his guidance and friendship. He was a proud Pipeliner in the local #798 and he thought highly of his coworkers and cherished their friendship.
Hudson enjoyed the rodeo, especially bull riding. He found great joy in donating toys to “Toys for Tots”, during the Christmas season. Hudson was committed to his friends and valued the trust he placed in them. It was not uncommon for Hudson to go beyond the call of duty for others. He exemplified integrity, kindness, and steadfastness.
Those who knew Hudson has suffered a heartbreaking loss and will forever be missing a shining light in their lives.
He will be sadly missed by his parents and by his brother, Hunter Thompson and his wife Breann of Calcutta; nephew, Weston Thompson; maternal grandparents, William and Donna Kozel of Bonita Springs, FL. and by his girlfriend, Chasey Wain of Finleyville, PA.; step-siblings, William Lewis of Granville, OH. and Ursula Lewis of Boardman, OH. He will also be missed by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard S., and Barbara J. Thompson; stepfather, Tag Lewis and by his stepbrother, Todd Lewis.
Pastor Dirk Hall will celebrate Hudson’s life, Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 7:00 PM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, WV. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM.
