Hencil V. Kerns Jr. of Georgetown, PA., passed at his home in Georgetown on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, following a lengthy illness. He was 70 years old.

A son of the late Hencil V. Kerns Sr., and Dorotha Arlene Scott Kerns, he was born in Weirton on October 2, 1951.

A Christian by faith, Jr., retired from Weirton Steel where he was a member of the twenty-five-year club. He was a 1969 graduate of South Side High School.

Survivors include his children, Chuck (Trina) Kerns of Silver Spring, MD., Aaron Kerns, and Lance (Veronica) Kerns of Georgetown, his sisters, Sharon (Bill) Samko of Pittsburgh, Frances (Tom) Maxwell of Chester, Risa (Tim) Graham of Austintown, OH., and Laura Kerns of Industry, PA., his former spouse, Stephanie Kerns, and his grandchildren, Garrett, Sam, Caleb, Preston, William, Emily, and Morgan.

Memorial services will be at a later date. He is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
