Gloria Cunningham Zehnder of East Liverpool passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at the Calcutta Health Care Center where she had resided for the past several years.
87 years old, she was born in Chester, West Virginia on September 18, 1932. She was one of eight children born to the late Theodore and Hettie Reed Cunningham.
Having worked several jobs over her lifetime, Gloria last worked as the church secretary at the First United Methodist Church in East Liverpool. A devout Christian, she was also a loving homemaker and a 1950 graduate of Chester High School.
Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Anita (Lew) Brown of Calcutta; her sisters. Margaret and Bonnie; her grandchildren, Sacha Champ, Mandy Baker, and Zachary Brown; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Emma, Claire, Livie, Isaac, Brittany and Brandon; and her great-great-grandchildren, Jaxson, and Everleigh.
Along with her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Zehnder, her son, Edward A. Zehnder, and her siblings, Ronald, Paul, Ted, Miriam, and Marvin.
Life celebrant, Don Bangor will celebrate Gloria’s life at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Sunday, January 12, at 2:00 p.m. Friends, are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday two hours prior to the service, 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
