Gene "Keith" Hamilton Obituary

Gene “Keith” Hamilton, 89, of East Liverpool, passed away at his residence with his wife by his side, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, following a lengthy illness.

Born June 22, 1934, in Wellsville, he was the son of the late George and Dortha Hamilton.

Keith was a graduate of Wellsville High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He later retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked as a mail carrier.

Keith was a member of Wellsville First Christian Church. He enjoyed watching Western movies and football. Over the years he bowled on numerous bowling teams at Tri-State Lanes.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Belma “Bobbie” Bidwell Hamilton, whom he married on March 18, 1976. Keith will also be missed by his children, Debra Kay Hamilton of Alliance, Kimberly Hildebrand and her companion, Jim of Austintown, and Barbara Knox (Michael) of Calcutta; sisters, Cynthia McCune of Beloit, OH. and Brenda Campbell of Alliance; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren 1 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Sue Hamilton, and stepson, David Lawrence. 

Pastor Mark Blakeley will celebrate Keith’s life, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM, at the Wellsville First Christian Church.
