Floyd R. Wells, 89, of East Liverpool, passed away, Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at Continuing Health Care in Lisbon.
Born, June 8, 1930, in Harrisville, W.Va., he was a son of the late Floyd and Emma Stanley Wells.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Floyd retired from Crucible Steel in 1983, where he worked as a Lab Technician.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma McGraw Wells in 1986, he was also preceded in death by his second wife Margaret Kelly Birch Wells in 2000.
Floyd will be missed by his children, Michael Birch and his wife Antionette “Toni” of East Liverpool and Yvonne Sainovich and her husband Ronald of Industry, Pa.; grandchildren, Seth R. Birch, Jami Shulus, Tonya Sainovich Milton, Jimmy M. Lough, Giovanni, and Nathaniel Birch; great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Andrew Shulus and Eleanor Milsom.
Pastor Dirk Hall will celebrate Floyd’s life, Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, at noon, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion and VFW Chester Honor Guard.
