Obituary
Ernest Collins Jr., 61, of Chester, passed, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital.
Born, January 10, 1962, in Weirton, he was the son of Ernest Collins and the late Sylvia Jean Applegarth Collins.
Ernest was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a carpenter by trade.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Ernest E. Collins III of Weirton, Teresa M. Collins (Geoff) of Johnstown, PA., David Lee Collins of Plymouth, OH., Sylvia Jean Collins (Brandon Reed) of Hookstown, James A. Lee of Weirton, Jesse A. Collins (Taylor) of East Liverpool, Jacob Collins of Chester, Tabitha Miller of East Liverpool and Morgan Collins of Southern, WV.; grandchildren, Brayden, Ernest IV, Josie, Echo, Wyatt, Eric, Geoff, and Dustin “DJ”; lifelong partner of 33 years, Suzanna Lee; brothers, John Collins of New Cumberland and Tim Collins of Chester; sisters, Jeanette Suzanne Collins Hess of New Cumberland and Christine Collins.
Ernest was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Edna Collins, maternal grandparents, David and Gladys Applegarth, and niece, Elizabeth Hess.
Per Ernest's wishes, no services are planned at this time. He is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
