Elizabeth "Betsy" Bacon

Elizabeth A.”Betsy” Bacon, 66, of East Liverpool, passed, Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Valley Oaks Care Center, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born, December 4, 1956, in Sewickley, PA., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Shirley Plance Witherow.

Betsy was a graduate of Hopewell Area High School. She devoted many years to helping care for numerous people while working as a home healthcare aide.

Betsy loved all things Christmas. She was known for the Christmas Eve celebrations she hosted, amazing cookie trays, and her collection of Santa. She spent many years of her life creating memories with her family and friends while boating and camping. Betsy also enjoyed doing arts and crafts, a passion she adopted from her mother. 

She will be deeply missed by her son, Jason Yoho, and his wife, Bonnie of New Brighton, PA.; daughter, Michelle Betteridge, and her husband, Mark of East Liverpool; brother, Thomas Witherow Jr. (Dawn) of Raccoon Township, PA.; sister, Margaret Powers (Wayne) of Kingsport, TN.; grandchildren, Stefan Yoho, Ariaus Yoho, Aubrey Yoho and Tommie Davis, Deidre Hebert, Mason Yoho, and Shakelia “Piddle” McCauley; great-grandchildren, Connor Stone, Anijah McCauley, and Aiynna Smith; and companion, Donald Nash and numerous nieces and nephews. Betsy will also be missed by her best friends Judy Morrison, Patty “Rebel” Bacon, and Gladys McGinnis. 

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter and by her daughter, Charity Yoho.

We will celebrate Betsy’s life, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Arner Funeral Chapel, at 1:00 PM. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service from 11:00-1:00 PM.
