Duane Thomas

Duane Thomas, 69, lifetime resident of Follansbee, passed, Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Weirton Medical Center, following a sudden illness.

Born, April 18, 1953, in Follansbee, he was the son of the late Ernest and Daisy Givens Thomas.

Duane was also preceded in death by his daughter, Leann Thomas Dulaney and by his brother, Chester Thomas.

Duane was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  A dedicated and hard worker, he formerly worked as a union Welder, and he received his CDL. Duane was a very mechanical person and enjoyed working on cars. He also enjoyed drawing, fishing and hiking.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Myra Price Thomas, whom he married on October 14, 1978. He will also be missed by his son, Levi Thomas of Follansbee; daughter, Terry Thomas (Aaron Schulte) of Follansbee; grandchildren, Nathen Schulte, Angel Schulte, Haley Dulaney, Paige Dulaney, Caden Dulaney, Emily Schulte, Masen Schulte, Justen Thomas, Olivia Thomas, Noah Thomas and Isabelle Thomas and great grandchildren, Dyllan Schulte and Nailah Montgomery.

Private services will be held at the convenience of his family. Duane’s arrangements were entrusted by the Arner Funeral Chapel.
