Donna M. Wallace

Donna M. Wallace, 88, of East Liverpool, passed away gracefully surrounded by love on, Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Calcutta Health Care. She was married to the love of her life, the late James Wallace on August 22, 1948.

Born, in Buffalo, NY., she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Mildred Stallings Liston. She was raised in Smithfield, OH.  James and Donna moved to Chester, WV after they were married.  They moved to Calcutta, OH in the ’60s.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Liston, and sister, Judy Burris.

Donna was a member of Long’s Run Trinity Presbyterian Church.   She worked at Riverview Florist for a number of years.  She was an avid bowler and card player.  She also enjoyed feeding the birds at her multitude of feeders.

The heart of the family, Donna dedicated her life to raising her three children and savored her years as a grandmother, nurturing passions and providing counsel. She was a selfless and loving mother and grandmother.  She helped raise two of her grandchildren, Kelley and Seth while their parents worked.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Bix Wallace and his wife, Nenia of Chester; daughters, Shelley Simms and her husband Bob of East Liverpool and Lark Wallace of East Liverpool. Her grandchildren Kelley, Seth, Melissa, Bobby, August, Joseph and Michael; as well as her great-grandchildren, Jackson, Madison, Kaleb, McKenna, Mason, and Tate will also miss their Nana.  Donna also leaves behind her best friend and fur baby, Misty.

The family would like to thank Calcutta Health Care and Akeso Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our Mom and Nana.

Private services will be held at the Arner Funeral Chapel and interment will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery.
