Diane Jo Rank

Diane Jo Rank, 83 of Chester passed at the Weirton Medical Center on Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 4:51 a.m.

Born in St. Paul, MN. on January 17, 1937, she was a daughter of the late David and Virginia Sontra Hurd.

A 1954 graduate of Chester High School, Diane worked as a cook at the Fox Nursing Home in Chester for many years. A long time and devoted member of the Chester First United Presbyterian Church, she had been active in many areas of the church.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Don Rank, a baby son, James Lawrence wright, and her brother, David Hurd.

She leaves her loving family, daughters, Ann Smith of Chester, Robin Hissam of Birchwood, TN., and Judy (Jason) Creach of Savanna, GA., and her sons, Jeff Wright of Huntington, WV., and David Wright of Chester. In addition, there are twelve grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Rev. Frank Lewis will celebrate Diane’s life in the Chapel at the Locust Hill Cemetery on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow. These services are in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.
