Della "DJ" J. Mahaffey

Della J. Mahaffey, 67 of New Cumberland, passed, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Magee Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born, April 26. 1955, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Delmer and Shirley Murphy Reed.

DJ was also preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Reed and by her brothers, Delmer Earl and Joe Reed.

She was a graduate of Oak Glen High School Class of 1974.  DJ was a homemaker and enjoyed her time with family and friends. She was an exceptional seamstress who loved quilting and she also enjoyed baking. DJ loved being a mom and was devoted to her family. She was committed to her kids and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

DJ will be deeply missed by her loving husband, James Mahaffey, whom she married on November 10, 1973. She will also be missed by her children, Jamie Nutt and her husband James of Topeka, KS. James Earl Mahaffey of New Manchester, Chad Mahaffey of New Manchester and Sara Wolski and her husband Jason of FL.; grandchildren, Holly, Kylee and Trey Boring, Marah, Paige, Bridgette, Brooke, Cindy, Jevon and William; sisters, Sue Rollyson and her husband Larry of New Cumberland and Ruth Mays and her husband, Mark of New Cumberland; brothers, Clyde Reed and his wife, Karen of Salineville, Walter Reed and his wife, Brenda of Glennmoor, and John Reed and his wife, Wanda of East Liverpool and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Private services will be held at the convenience of her family. Interment will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery. The Arner Funeral Chapel was entrusted with DJ’s arrangements.
