David E. Wright

David E. “Stymie’ Wright, 76, lifelong resident of Chester, passed peacefully, Sunday, February 7, 2021, at UPMC Passavant, surrounded by his three children. 

Born, October 27, 1944, in Chester, he was a son of the late Arnold and Ruth May Wright.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis M. Wright and brothers, Arnold, and William Wright. 

David was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1962, and he was a proud veteran of the United States Army Reserve. He was a local businessman and he retired as a Post Master for the United States Postal Service after 37 years of service. 

David was a member of the Chester VFW Post # 6450 and American Legion Post #121, and he was an avid Pittsburgh fan, especially the Pirates. 

He will be deeply missed by his children, Lisa Wright Puskarich and her husband Brian of Cornelius, NC., David Wright  and Danica Ronghi and her husband Ryan of McDonald, OH.; sister, Linda Atizer Smith and her husband Jesse of GA.; and his grandchildren, Olivia and Gage Puskarich and Wesley Ronghi. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Chester Newell FISH.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2021, from 2:00PM-5:00PM. Private services and interment will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery.
