David Gargano Obituary

David F. Gargano, 78, of East Liverpool, passed, Monday, May 8, 2023, at Trinity West Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

Born, April 13, 1945, in Steubenville, OH, he was the son of the late Xavier and Dorothy Clayton Gargano.

David was a graduate of Steubenville High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marines.

He married the love of his life, Gloria Jean Carpenter Gargano on February 14, 1982. They lived numerous years in Key Largo, FL., where he obtained his ocean operator licenses and became ship captain. David’s greatest joy was having the honor of running African Queen.

He will be missed by his brother, Doug Gargano of Long Island, NY., and sister, Lynda Gargano of FL.

Private services will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery, and he is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
