Daniel J. Zajac

Daniel J. Zajac, 78 of Weirton, passed peacefully in the presence of his loving family at his home on Saturday, May 16, 2020, following a brief illness.

The son of the late Sophia Arciszewski Zajac, Daniel was born in Steubenville on June 26, 1941.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Cook Zajac; sister, Patricia Yanik and her husband Ed Yanik.

Dan was a graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School. He retired from Conrail where he worked as a Conductor for many years.

Dan enjoyed his grandchildren and watching baseball and football.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Dan will be deeply missed by his daughters, Shelly M. Fuscardo and her husband Mike of Follansbee and Kathy L. Quickle and her husband Jeff of Weirton; sons, Daniel J. Zajac Jr. of Maryland and Timothy M. Zajac of Florida; brother, Thomas J. Zajac and his wife Mary of East Liverpool. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Jeffrey Quickle, Laken Quickle, Michael Fuscardo II, Toriano Fuscardo, Anna-Lesa Fuscardo, Nicole (Mike) Metzger and, and Michele (Matt) White and 3 great-grandchildren.
