Clara "Faye" Backus

Clara “Faye” Backus, 76, of East Liverpool, passed away, Sunday, May 3, 2020, at The Orchards of East Liverpool.

Born, December 10, 1943, in East Liverpool, she is a daughter of the late James P. and Alice E. Maxwell Wright.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Williams, Masel Wright, Isabel Alice Wright and Phyllis Ann Wright.

Faye was a 1963 graduate of East Liverpool High School. She retired from Homer Laughlin China Company.

She was raised in the Nazarene Church. Faye enjoyed reading, writing, quilting, and painting.

Faye will be deeply missed by her daughters, Cindy Jackson and her companion, Eric Clingan of Quitman, AR. and Joy Lynne Gillespie and her husband, Timothy Gillespie of East Liverpool; brothers, James Wright and his wife, Linda Wright of East Liverpool and Thomas Wright and his wife, Robyn of East Liverpool. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Douglas Nelson, Eric Reiner, Cody Gillespie, and Joel Gillespie.

Private family services will be held, and she is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
