Claire M. Potts

Claire M. Potts, 87, of Hookstown, PA, gained her angel wings on May 21, 2023, surrounded by her family, and loved ones.

Born May 3, 1936, in Rochester, PA., she was the daughter of the late, Peter J. and Anne T. Oreska Fromm.

She was a Class of 1954 graduate of Mount Galitzen High School in Baden, PA. Claire formerly worked as a milk tester in Beaver County. While traveling in the area she met her husband. She was also a school bus driver for 30 years for South Side Garage.

She was a well-known member of the community. Claire was a member of New Vision Church in Georgetown. She raised her family and helped to manage their farm in Hookstown. She was known for her great cooking and welcomed all to her table. Claire devoted her entire life to caring for and loving her family and friends.

Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Milton “Bunk” Potts on March 22, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, LouAnne Dripps; brother, Richard Fromm; sister, Jean Fuller and special nephew, Frank J. Fuller.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Barb Boyd, Jim (Karen) Potts, and Nancy (Rich) Mineard. Other loved ones left behind are her grandchildren Kristina Crooks, Cory (Christina) Boyd, Serena Pinkerton, Ian (Shelby) Dripps, Jim and Jason Potts, Amber Mineard, and Brittany (Greg) Wargo. Also, surviving are numerous great-grandchildren and other loved ones.

A celebration of life will be held, Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Mount Pleasant Church, 846 PA-18, Aliquippa, PA., 15001, from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. Private interment will be held at Millcreek Hill Cemetery. The Arner Funeral Chapel assisted with making these arrangements.
