Christie Kenneth Krafft, age 89, of East Liverpool, died on Monday, June 14, 2021, at his home in Fort Myers, FL after an extended illness.
Born in East Liverpool, on March 3, 1932, Mr. Krafft was the son of the late August G. Krafft and Lula M. (Williams) Krafft Geer. He had lived most of his life in the area and the last few years living in Fort Myers, Florida where he enjoyed living out his retirement years.
He worked at Geroge Cindrich General Contacting in Midland, PA as the chief mechanic in charge of fixing all the heavy machinery and any contracted projects thru the mills. He also leveraged those skills to build all sorts of things for himself and family. There wasn’t anything that Christie couldn’t fix! Everyone that came across his path praised his extensive talent and skills.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Monarch) Krafft, who he married on April 26, 1988.
Mr. Krafft is also survived by one son, Kenneth Krafft (Connie) of East Liverpool, OH; one daughter, Deloris McCafferty (Bob) of Columbus, OH; one step-son Keith Groscost (Lori) of East Liverpool, OH, one step-daughter Susan Groscost of Midland, PA; twelve grandchildren, Stephen Krafft (Lany), Kimberly Williams (Jerry), Marie Morse (Jason), Michael Croxall II, Ernie (EJ) Krafft, Jr. (Kristy), Patrice Krafft-Spayde (Carrie), Janel Krafft, and Rosza Krafft; step-grandchildren David Groscost (Autumn), Shaun Groscost, Erin Jarovich, Lacee Olash; thirteen great-grandchildren, Corrigan Shields, Jackson Morse, Levi Williams, Delaney Morse, Noah Williams, Michael Croxall III, Kaitlyn Krafft, Sadie D’Alesio, Noel Williams, Alex Groscost, Mia Krafft, Hannah Krafft and Gabe Groscost. A near relative Robert Woodyard. He will be miss greatly by his loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Krafft was preceded in death by one son Ernie Krafft, Sr.; three sisters, Grace Taylor, June Hochbein, and Betty Lou Mohnkein; and three brothers, Donald, Denford, and Dale Krafft.
A private family memorial service was held.
