Carolyn Marie Blake, 71, of East Palestine, OH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
Born May 10, 1950 in Cameron, WV, she was a daughter of the late Forrest and Jane Swann Dunn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Blake, son Jonathan Bryan Blake, grandson Kenneth Allen Blake, Jr., brother Larry Dunn, and by her sister Michelle Dunn Earnest.
Carolyn was a 1968 graduate of John Marshall High School in Moundsville, WV. She was a homemaker who raised three children. She was very creative and could make something out of nothing. She enjoyed crafting, making diamond paintings, and Christmas ornaments out of anything she could find. She enjoyed listening to music, playing board games and cards. You could find her listening to her music with her headphones on and singing out loud. Carolyn was known for making some of the best homemade dishes you would ever taste. The most important thing to her was her family, and she enjoyed researching genealogy.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Taunnya Coe (Scott) of East Palestine, OH, Kevin Blake (Debbie) also of East Palestine, and Kenneth Blake, Sr. (Tami) of Jonesburg, MO; brothers Keith, James, and Andrew Dunn; sisters Donna Dunn, Ruth Wade, Martha Cross, Sharon Whipkey, Diane Avila, Deborah Neely, Yaunetta Dunn, and Alberta Greathouse and their respective families. She will also be missed by her eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Pastor John Dobritch will celebrate Carolyn’s life on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, WV at 4:00 PM.
