Billie Wade Renfro, 63, of New Cumberland, West Virginia, passed away Sunday December 26th at East Liverpool Hospital. He had been battling a brief illness.
Bill was born on November 9th, 1958 to Kenneth and Emma Renfro. He grew up in the small town of Newell, West Virginia. Bill began working in high-school for Dave Rogers at Roger’s Exxon. He graduated from Oak Glen High School in 1977, and shortly after began his career as an electrician at Penn Power. He worked for the Bruce Mansfield plant until he retired in 2017.
Bill lived on the family farm with his beloved companion and fiancé of 24 years, Sarena Wells. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed camping, hunting, boating, traveling and “tinkering” around with all of his equipment. Bill was an amazing father, grandfather and friend to all. Anyone that knew him, knew that his friendship was a lifelong commitment even if he was a man of few words.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Emma Renfro as well as his infant son, Shane Michael Renfro. Bill leaves behind his fiancé, Sarena, sisters Cheryl (Charlie) Walker of Chester and Donna Renfro of Elizabethhon, Tennessee, son Brian Renfro, daughters Michelle Rader and Megan Dunlevy (Ryan) as well his step children Doug (Erin) Wells of Chester and Brianne Wells of Midland, PA. Bill also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Kaulin, Gregory, Becky, Emma, Shane, Somara, Jordan, Daniel, Aubrie, Cruz, Logan, Laila, Lincoln, Mila, and Linley.
In addition to several cousins and family members, he is survived by very many close friends who he cherished more than words.
Services to honor Bill will be held at Arner’s Funeral home in Chester, WV on December 30th. Visitation will be 12-2 and 4-6pm with services to begin promptly after.
