Betty Cashdollar Obituary

Betty Jane (Young) Cashdollar died peacefully Friday morning, June 26, 2020, at the Crossroads at Beaver Creek's True North Memory Care Unit.  She will be greatly missed.
Betty was born July 8, 1924, in Saint Louis, MO, the daughter of Walter and Louise (Reuter) {Jung} Young.  She was a member of the Chester First United Presbyterian Church and active throughout her life in volunteer service to her community.  Betty's was the kindest of hearts and she touched everyone she met with her gentle and loving soul.  She enjoyed baking, gardening, decorating her home, browsing at flea markets, her artwork, the family vacations, and front porch chats with friends. Her greatest love was being together with her family.  She was a devoted wife and mother, GiGi and MeMe.  The special love of Betty's life was her husband Roy C. Cashdollar whom she married on January 26, 1945.
Besides her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Kay, and her brothers Wally, Don, and Earl Young.
She is survived by her four children: Michael (Kate) Cashdollar, Mark Cashdollar, Matthew (Cindy) Cashdollar, and Melissa (Gordon) France.  There are eighteen grandchildren: Melissa (Josh) Hayes, Michael (Kate) Cashdollar, Katherine (Chris) Gallino, Meredith (Steve) Himes, Meaghan Cashdollar, Clay Cashdollar, Destin Cashdollar, Lucas Allison, Darcy (Dario) Duvnjak, Alec Allison, Cara (Troy) McMahan, Lacey (Kimmer) Cline, Susan Cashdollar, Annah (Spencer) Pfeiffer, Jenny (Jon) Thompson, Molly (Carter) Pearson, Chelsea France, and Taylor France.  There are nineteen great-grandchildren: Layne Rydbom, Ellery Hayes, Greyson Cashdollar, Fallon Cashdollar, Lennon Cashdollar, Rowan Gallino, Channing Gallino, Collins Gallino, Beckham Himes, Anderson Himes, Leah McMahan, Cash McMahan, Gannon Cline, Jack Cline, Bodie Cline, Nolan Pfeiffer, Bowen Thompson, Betty Reece Pearson, and Woods Pearson.
Friends may visit on Tuesday evening, June 30, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester.  For the safety of all, please adhere to social distancing and masks are encouraged.  Rev. Willard Adkins, of First Church of Christ Disciples, will be celebrating Betty's life on Wednesday, July 1, at 11:30 a.m.  Private interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery.     
Monetary contributions may be made in Betty's memory to the Chester-Newell F.I.S.H. organization.
