Bessie "Vickie" Speer

Bessie “Vickie” Speer, of Chester, passed, Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Heritage Valley Beaver, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born, May 6, 1945, in Florence, PA., she was the daughter of the late Bryon and Marjorie Dunn Matchett.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Matchett; sisters, Freda Dowley, Louella Lynch, and Junita Husband.

Vickie was a graduate of Weir High and she later retired from Allegheny Valley School where she worked as the House Management Assistant.

Vickie was a Christian by faith, and she loved her family with everything she had in her.

She will be deeply missed by her sons, Rob Speer of Chester and Mark Speer of Beaver. She will also be missed by her two grandchildren, Tayler and Ryan.

Per Vickie’s wishes, no services are planned at this time. She is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
